The UNUS MUNDUS forum of Psychovision (Remo F. Roth) invites discussion of theoretical and practical issues of a possible union of Carl Jung's depth psychology with quantum physical principles.

Post She bear moves the world
Much speculation surrounds the carved enscription on Jung's crypt. In Latin, "(Russian) she bear moves the world." Jungians have suggested mistress Sabina, the Russian Jew who influenced the beginnings of Jung, and I suggested here Dov Ber the Hasidic rabbi from Ukraine who Jung said superseded him. But as jJung's last dream was pessimistic, perhaps this is a pessimistic prediction as well. When Jung and Freud gave their talks at Clark University in the United States the anarchist philosopher Emma Goldman was one of the few in attendance, sitting in the front row. Goldman might be considered the anima of revolutionary thinking of the left from 1880 to the present. She said her hero was the nihilist in the revolutionary Russian classic "What is to be done? " by Chenerchevski, which began the run of nihilist ideology among the Decembrists if I racall correctly in the mid 1800s in Russia. Some of Goldman's writings are strikingly like Jung's in calling for individualism (different I would say for "individual ion") and seem more relevant today than a hundred years ago. I noticed this this week watching the Netflix show "Sons of Anarchy" - It is based on California's Hell's Angles and the show, like the Sapranos, is well designed; the heros have a genetic flaw and in the first season it is revealed that the Sons are based on the philosophy of Emma Goldman and her quote on the definition of anarchy is painted on a mountain cave. But Jax, the hero is stuck between two fathers; the one a philosopher poet who sought individuation much as Jung describes and is killed befor the show starts. The second "father" - shadow - is a gun runner who now runs the Sons.

The idea is that the pure philosophy doess not translate outside the individual and when adopted by a group inevitably leads to nihilism. Walk though any major town today and the slashed A for anarchist can be seen on teen agers. The Chernichevsli/Goldman hero today wears the mask of Guy Fawkes, probably the first modern terrorist, who tried to blow up Parliment. Possibly we are only at the beginning of this.

Incidentally, the mother of Jax and the wife of both husbands, when discussimg a tattoo of a swastika on one of the Nordics, a white fascist oppositional club, indicates that she, like Emma and Sabina, is Jewish "on her angry Russian side."
