Post Hermaphrodite dream?
Dream: I see a male figure wearing “gay” clothes. There is sense of altercation between us, sense in me of “friend or foe”, mostly foe, but also with sense of sympathy to this foe. I push him down some stairs. Now I am at the bottom of the stairs with him. He is sprawled on his back, now wearing more typical male clothes. I help him up.

I have been trying to interpret this dream with reference to persona and the alchemical Hermaphrodite (?). I am not quite clear on my own interpretation and would welcome thoughts. Roughly, my thought is that the Hermaphrodite – as moral synthesis of male and female - is properly made in the ego, not the persona (clothes), thus by pushing this figure (foe) down the stairs I deflate the persona inflated ego (friend).

And did I have a little synchronicity here? I shortly after prepared myself a fresh fruit juice drink which included grapes – two of which were fused as one – exactly as in the two heads of the Hermaphrodite I have seen somewhere in an Alchemical drawing.

Thoughts welcome.

Rob

Almost universally in the East - Thailand, the Vedic Buddhist tribal places - a man wearing women's clothing is a shaman/trickster. A man with "yin eyes" - (Amy Tan's phrase) who sees into the psyche and is agent to deeper consciousness. Since he rises up the stairs possibly he rises to you in consciousness level from the unconscious. See what he wants.

Thanks Bernie,

In fact, I am seeing this dream as one needing objective interpretation more than subjective. (Perhaps both in one dream?). I am seeing it connected to my own domestic/political matters I have recently referred to on the forum. (But not wanting to get into this again, honest.) End.

Regards,

Rob
