UNUS MUNDUS

The UNUS MUNDUS forum of Psychovision (Remo F. Roth) invites discussion of theoretical and practical issues of a possible union of Carl Jung's depth psychology with quantum physical principles.

Dear you all,

as you can guess 'administering' a board such as ours cannot be made in a casual way.

Some 'robots' have been adding random special contributions to our threads, using the posting capacity opened to anonymous guests.

I mean sex and credit offers.

Now, the 'subjects' we are dealing with are such that these special posts take a special flavour.

Of course I delete these posts as soon as I see them... I could also implement a blocking condition so that only registered members could post, but anonymous interesting contributions would become impossible.

What do you think?

Post Terms of Use
Roger,

I personally believe that what is stated in the Terms of Use:

Quote:
You shall not post, send, upload, transmit, distribute or otherwise publish, through the forums conducted on this Web Site PSYCHOVISION / UNUS MUNDUS / PSYCHOPHYSICAL, or otherwise, any content that:

i. libels, defames, invades privacy or is indecent, obscene, pornographic, abusive, or threatening;

ii. infringes any intellectual property right of any entity or person, including, but not limited to, violating anyone's copyrights or trademarks or their right of publicity;

iii. violates any law;

iv. violates or infringes upon the rights of PSYCHOVISION / UNUS MUNDUS Page/ PSYCHOPHYSICAL, its users or the public, including material which is an invasion of privacy or publicity rights;

v. advocates illegal activity or activity that would give rise to civil liability;

vi. solicits gambling or engages in any gambling activity

vii. interferes with anyone else's use of this Web Site;

viii. contains a virus or other harmful component; or

ix. advertises, engages in any commercial endeavor, or otherwise solicits funds or is a solicitation for goods or services. (collectively "Non-Approved Material").

Should be upheld. I know we practice introversion, but there is no reason why these sites (with their IP addresses) shouldn't be held responsible.

I am not in favor of limiting guest posts, but I have seen some websites
include a code to be typed in that inhibits the mass sending of these computer spam sites.

Hey Roger,

I have seen some very interesting forum sites become clogged with this type of forum spam/graffiti, rendering them utterly useless and completely shutting down dialog. It has been my observation that there are people out there who make it their mission to find sites that run contrary to their own narrow and tiny world-view, whether political or spiritual, and create mayhem by posting huge amounts of useless material and links that takes up enormous amounts of space and effectively shuts down discourse.
Our site attracts some very sincere people who have a genuine interest in exploring some pretty esoteric subject matter; and I also believe that it attracts some very immature and beligerent people who become very threatened by it, and who react with obvious hostility.
Whether or not these bouts of forum-spam are being created by net-bots or thuggish web-bullies who cowardly hide behind anonymity, I am in favour of holding participants responsible and accountable for their postings.

Chris

Yes, this is exactly what I also guess. The behaviour is very similar to the one of all these people who like the noise so much. Here it is the spam noise, which shuts down discourse. Jung writes concerning this problem:

Quote:
"The alarming pollition of our water supplies, the steady increase of radioactivity [we talk always about in this forum; RFR], and the sombre threat of overpopulation with its genocidal tendencies have already led to a widespread though not generally conscious fear which loves noise because it stops the fear from being heard. Noise is welcome because it drowns the inner instinctive warning. Fear seeks noisy company and pandemonium to scare away the demons. [Letters, Vol. 2, p. 389]

Thank you all for you replies.

I have found a third solution (!) that will enable guests to post but not robots.

I will use a visual confirmation code as what is used for registering.

Yes... it is good to see everyone, as it imparts a physicality to our online identities.

Only when I scanned the photo I saw the high symbolical shadow aspect ... I guess without realizing it you got the gold in the desert as well as in the shadow (so-called dirt)

PS: Are there some other nice photos? Even if you don't actively participate, we'd be glad to see you really. A real human being in the virtual web ... A novelty!

Yes even if you do not actively participate we'd really be glad to see you!

Also, I would like to express my thanks to all you who have already 'shown their face'.

When I signed my post with this photo of me I had no other intention than to oppose a firm refusal to this profusion of anonymous destructive actions by stressing the value of individuation.

Amitiés to all of you

Roger

Hey Eduard - thanks for the wonderful picturebook! Through your 'tale' we can remember others of us who are now in the Beyond, such as Jung, Pauli and von Franz - so great.

Here is a picture of a 'church' where we could all meet in virtual reality... All welcome!

But it is just as possible to meet in another location, such as around the tree of life within the secret forest Image

Post Photo of Quigley and #2 son
Here is Quigley with #2 son on Christmas '04. I was explaining to my son Tom the way Chinese Taoists greet - with the right hand in a fist, but covered with the left hand- saying we come in peace and cover our power, but it is always there under cover. (I was further explaining that that big flashlight in my hand - given by my father-in-law as a Christmas present - was suddenly standard issue for cops all over the United States the year they outlawed rosewood night sticks (cops use them as clubs). What is nice about this picture is that if you could see it enlarged, my son is randomly looking at some pictures he had put on the computer earlier that morning and flipping through pictures where I am sitting at the computer (in a black sweater). When my wife took the first picture and then went to take the second it just happened that Tom randomly changed the pictures on the screen and my image on the screen shifted its gaze in alarm when I raised the club! The Shadow looking out from the Other Side of the Window! Much like one of Spielberg's old horror movies, "Poltergeist."

Post . . . and SELF portrait
This is a SELF portrait I (Quigley) made at height of dreams say 1994 - is inside a temple/castle with a circular door as in Kristin's picture.
Image

My 5 year old son said then: "Daddy, it's Loki!" and brought out a picture from one of his children's book of Loki, the cosmic Trickster, with hair on fire. Recently, I found this - Loki with the Three Sisters (Rhine Maidens) - notice Siegfried must pass the Sisters by or will lose his power. But Loki can dangle his foot in the water.
