Thank you, Patrick. My first intention was that you look very much like Eduard from Silvaplana near St. Moritz, Switzerland.

Kristin,

Chatsworth House is about 15 miles from Sheffield in the countryside, and is the residence of the Duke of Devonshire. It is a large estate, and the house contains many works of art.

The estate is owned by the Cavendish family, of whom the scientist Henry Cavendish (1731-1810) was a member. His library and some of his instruments are kept at Chatsworth House - he was the discoverer of hydrogen.

Remo,

Yes, Eduard and I do look somewhat alike - I thought so myself when I saw his picture.

Thank you, Evgeniy, for the photos. And thank you for revitalizing this thread.

I would like that other members, who did not yet post their photo, to do so. At the beginning of the forum we asked for a photo before someone was allowed to post ...

Post breaking out of being shy... (on the outside)
I would have liked to have done this sooner, hence the subject line I chose.

..and I do apologize...I am a bit of a 'bull in a china shop' here, but nothing I've read on this forum seems 'out of line' to me, and that's great.

Hi to all of you!

**AGE FASTER??... :)

Hey all, much inspired by the recent inclusions, just super pics all round. Jan, imo, you don't look a day over 31 -- could it be that you project alot of pragmatism or something in person which has the effect of people thinking you're older? However, then again, maybe people do 'age' faster, at least PSYCHICALLY, when they work in tandem with the VNS in a consistent way?? Weird thought, because I would think in a way that the VNS function relates much better to 'time standing still', or that 'lost time' motif, which might equate, in an off-hand way, to the Hindu idea that if one works hard and long enough spiritually, one can come to be gifted with one or more variety of 'siddhis', one of which bequeaths certain 'look' of agelessness, which actually has more to do with the 'immortal soul' being 'displayed' in the persons' general demeanour than otherwise (one doesn't HAVE to look in actual fact incredibly young or anything, heaven forbid!). Well, I guess the idea of aging faster is simply a sort of in-joke that refers more to the idea of getting clear and thus gaining in wisdom lessons, more than anything else here. Anyway, Pascal's (aka Kermit's!) "it's hard being green" seems to therefore work perfectly in this case. One does have to work at this business, albeit not in any usual way.

Anyway, the more pictures the merrier everybody -- !

cheers,
Kristin

All

I have looked up the pictures' thread and thought I would like to ask all to post a photo. Also the ones who have already posted one can post a new one. But especially the ones who did not post one yet.

Here is my newest, at Christmas 2010:

Thanks a lot.

I'm still a little too (understandably) paranoid to post a current picture. Also, I don't think I've even seen myself in a long time!
But, thanks in great part to this forum, the nasties are losing more ground every day :D .... 'reality' coming back into view.

So for now -

here is a picture of me conducting my first scientific experiment at the kitchen sink circa 1965:

And here is my closest human companion of late (with his Lambie on his head):

Post More Current
As I was finishing that last post, I remembered that there is one other photo of me in my apartment besides the kitchen sink one (the rest are in storage right now). One that is fairly current.

I took a picture of it with my phone and uploaded it. I just happened to notice it was image # 84 on my phone and image #137 on my computer.

always with the earphones..... :D

Gregory - excellent doggies light and dark; magic animal guides to the path. Beth: If that young un is a picture of you in 1965 you would be at the age now which can bring the greatest creativity & artists more than others know how to manage or metabolize it. The Ohmm sound in Tibetan Buddhism is in four parts, the forth part being the silence between the end and the beginning. But between the first three sounds there are gaps called "betweens" and the silence is also a "between" as Tibetans do not believe in death. The three sounds represent childhood, then middle life, then old age receding to silence. The gap between childhood and middle life is the creative space (17 - late 20s which Tolkien called the 'tweens) and the gap between middle life and receding age a similar gap - it was here Tolkien wrote the Rings stories and Tolstoi his religious writing and Dante the Divine Comedy. In this picture girl plus Shadow; Shadow is where all the stuff is and can come out now in the "betweens." But it drove Newton almost crazy because maybe he was crazy to start with. This may be why you are feeling complexity and stress and manifesting synchronicity; creativity defaulted and seeking an outlet. Just my thought & I am not a thearapist. This picture by the way from the magnificent "Spirited Away" by the great genious Hayao Miyazaki

Image

Notice with girl and Shadow, light and dark, in the Miyazaki frame all the karma is stuck in the Shadow, while Gregory's doggies light and dark are in perfect equilibriujm.
